wedge distance problem

Hello all,

I can carry a driver 265. Hit a 5 iron 195. But I can barely get a 54 degree wedge 100 yards even when it feels solid. What gives? Thanks for the help!

Perhaps there's some leakage...

LSH (Steve) had a similar issue in that he could bomb the driver, but his wedge play wasn't nearly as solid.

So my first guess would be that you have some clubhead throaway in there.

Does the wedge go very high? Not much divot?

My normal wedge is not that high and I take a good sized divot after the ball. It doesn't feel like I can stress the shaft on the wedge enough. There might be some throwaway there.
