WOW!

Your thinking( how to do )while playing, save that for the practice range. While playing you have to give that up and think how to get the ball in the hole, more playing strategy less playing golfswing on the course.

I'm not saying this is easy when you don't trust your swing, but you have to try and switch things around. Leave practice mode on the range. On the range work on one thing per session , not ten things, you will only succeed in confusing things in your( minds)

In your job your used to problem solving even after work you probably still think on how to solve a problem. In golf, when playing you try to solve the problem of how to get the ball in the hole, not trying to solve your swing mistakes while playing.

Your a case of too much mechanical thoughts and not enough trusting in yourself. You have to let go eventually, take off the training wheels and go for a spin. ;)

A very good assessment of a very real problem that we all tend to overlook when things go awry in our golf game.

No need to apologize, Softinsult should be the one apologizing to you. He took something you said the wrong way and when you told him that, he hasn't the balls to say sorry. DING,DING, RING A BELL FOR YOU SOFTINSULT?

Another accurate observation: though the unnecessary insults lessen its effect.

d0n,

Zztop is on the money here. Don't lose heart mate. You are in a golfing world inhabited by most of us lesser mortals who constantly strive to improve.

My guess is that you are improving, albeit at a slower rate than you would like. Just don't forget to stop and "smell the Roses" along the way.

Hmmm

d0n,

I may not be of any help here, but all of those shot results you listed sound just like the problems I used to have (some still show their ugly head now and again).

My issue is below plane, too far to the right, trying to hit everything with the right hand and no left hand help.

However, I like the other posters answers better. Video tape yourself and send it to Brian.
