What is Quitting?

I was reading my TGM last night and was reading the section regarding Quitting. My question is, what is this? For a swinger and a hitter, how does one avoid quitting? Which I interpret as an activity that can lead to a loss of lag. I need some help in this area.. Thanks

Quitting is your computer having doubts about the stroke just prior to impact and you let up allowing stupify, confused hands to swing through the ball. Weak

Avoidance: faith in stroke, club and distance.

Quitting is not sustaining lag pressure past separation. For Swinging, keep the left wrist moving, for Hitting continue the right arm thrust.

I like Gary Player's quote about not quitting - "Light the Match" - (through impact) a great image to keep you accelerating, even on short shots.

Focus on swivel, not the ball. The ball is not the end of the stroke. Or at the very least, focus on the both arms straight position, but for myself, that position is too soon after impact and still feels like I am hacking at the ball.

can you help me out with regards to Swivel... Also what impact does body rotation have on quitting? Should you focus more on the arms or the pivot to maintain lag? I know these are a little general, thanks for the help in gaining clarity regarding this subject.
