what is shaking the sugar?

Ok...

First this I should tell you is (shhh!) it's not in the book

This is a THOUGHT or an IDEA or a KEY or a DRILL or a CONCEPT....for a golfer who really needs to let his arms fall from the top,
but....just can't.

THE BRIAN MANZELLA SHAKE THE SUGAR IDEA:

Imagine a vat of Powdered Sugar. Pretend to put your sweaty arms in the vat. Knock off the big pieces.

You now have a decent amount of sugar left, correct?

From the top of your swing, feel like you SHAKE THE SUGAR off on the ball.

A cloud of sugar should hit the ball area.

If you needed this drill/idea/concept, your cloud was either going toward the target, or in the sky.

2 Questions:

1.Would using the fiddle drill accomplish throwing the sugar at the ball area;

2.When I took a lesson from you, you had me visualizing swinging to right field, will dropping the arms(throwing the sugar)interfere with this thought or is it the same feeling?

The fiddle drill and 'shaking the sugar' are too very different feels.

You could combine them, but you might spontaneously combust!

If you need to hit the inside of the ball, I would think of this:

Keep your right shoulder under your left one
Keep your right arm under your left one
Keep your right hip under your left one
Keep your right one under your left one

Then...crack the left one!
