I think its harder than that. Really tight tree lined course, just very few bunkers. Water hazards on just about every hole. Must hit a medium to hard draw 80% of the time.

This rating is pre-renovation, three years later, our state golf association still hasn't updated the rating.

The members play the course at a par of 72 and a playing distance of 6,657 yards. The course rating is 72.7 with a slope rating of 131. During competitive play, the course is altered to create a par of 70. The 7th and 10th holes, which normally play to a par of 5, are played at a par of 4.

Par 3 are very tough, playing 190,170, 153, and 210 from the Golds. Links style course, so wind plays a huge factor on determining how the course plays. I have hit Driver many times into a strong headwind on #17, (210 par 3) and have come up just short of the green.
