What's the difference between throw out action and snapping the kinetic chain?

For the book enthusiasts out there can you outline the differences in your Kinetic Chain theory vs. what Homer defined as throw out action?

Would you consider throw out action merely a component of STKC? It seems like TOA merely describes clubhead release while STKC outlines a lot more than that.
