When should you see the ball?

In the golf swing when should you see the ball?

Right when it takes off from the club head, 10-15 yards down the line,at it's apex?

Does it matter?

I don't see the ball until it's apex or on it's descent.


Lately after it hits the tree and not before it.

Good question, my answer is that it will vary from person to person depending on how how long they keep "their head down." Someone like Annika might see it earlier than say Tiger.

I think it also depends on what type of shot you are making..

Following the ball with your head tends to lead to fades/slices (less rotation of left forearm thro impact), whereas keeping your head down longer tends to lead to hooks (more rotation thro impact).....
