When was your Eureka moment with Brian?

Just an "out of interest" question more than anything else.
What was the idea, concept, or thing about Brian and his teaching that made you think "a-ha, that's for me?"
Regards
Oliver

No eureka moment. Gut feel, and curiosity, coupled with the
fact that he had Louisville on his schedule and I go there on
business from time to time.

Same with Jacobs. I was going there on business and arranged
my trip so that I stayed the weekend and could fit in a lesson on
Long Island.

Problem Fixer.

Has videos designed to take a golfer from one side of the Manzella Matrix to slightly over to the other side to fix problems. This makes sense to me!

Also can explain just about anything. And as an instructor he can get clients to do things, not just tell them what to do.

Interesting...My 2 pennies for what it's worth...
In any human endeavour - and not just in the sporting arena -the onus SHOULD be that rigidly-held, dogmatic beliefs have a duty to prove themselves viable time after time, to the exclusion of new ideas and concepts and so forth, in order for us to evolve
Now, in our golfing world it seems that the old stuff spewed out time after time cannot do this, but has held sway just because; however, a paradigm shift for the sake of it (which has become the norm in those looking to make a name, sell DVD's etc) seems to me to be thinking the fire is a more attractive place than the frying pan.
Brian is the first teacher that I've certainly come across - with apologies to those I don't know, or those who have helped shape Brian's knowledge - who actually challenges the prevailing wisdom and offers something concrete in lieu.

After years of reading every golf mag and book worth a darn, I realized that nobody put together components that worked together. It made sense to me that since everything was connected and there were so many different ways to be successful at hitting a golf ball, that all these articles and books were terribly deficient.

No wonder Penicks books were so succesful. The feels and drills were so simple that they didn't screw anyone up like the rest of pop instruction.

Somehow (WRX, FGI, whoknows?) I found this site. I realized that the Golf Machine made sense as a starting point for suggesting components of a swing that would work better together. I also quickly realized that all the bible thumping of an old book that was clearly wrong on many levels was lunacy.

Brian and his team are simply the only people I have ever heard of who know which components work together best, are willing to work with the swing the student has, and are constantly learning and improving as teachers. Nobody else in golf is doing those three things.

I am carrying the same handicap now playing twice a month as when I was on my high school team playing 6 times a week. I have this site to thank for that. I can't wait for my first lesson from Brian.

The eureka moment for me was seeing how Brian wasnt in to trashing the old school swings and buying in to whatever the new fad was. Pretty rare these days.

I have had a few and anticipate many more. That is what is so great about Brian's teachings.

First it was the concept of twistaway. Then it was the concept of not over-rotating the LAFW. Most recently, it was during a lesson when I was struggling a bit and Brian positioned my finish and said "get to there". I did, and hit the purest 6 iron of my life.

The eureka moment for me was seeing Brian's D-plane video, one of the first golf videos that made sense to my scientific mind (I have to know the science behind practically everything). After seeing that I was hooked.

Now I'm really excited to make some real improvement in my golfgame!! Something that I am now very confident in that I will be able to do!
