When you can't hit the ground

What do you check first? I played twice this holiday weekend and both days I hit the ball well off the tee, but was hopeless on the fairway. Whether it was a fairway wood, hybrid or iron, results were the same, thin pushes. I am swinging too far right, which works ok when the ball is teed. When you are on the course and this happens, what bandaid works to help you limp in? The long term cure is to swing on plane, not under. But when you hit your second shot on seven twenty yards short and right, what works for you to fix it? As so many underplaners visit here, I am curious what helps some of you?

honestly? Aim right and play an INTENTIONAL pull, that's the best band-aid when on the course because you don't have to think much about it.

Put a soft headcover about five-eight inches in front of the ball on the target line. Use a short (lofted) iron and hit shots. You ought to be able to miss the headcover to the inside.

When you can, you'll have steepened your action and produced a swing shape capable of hitting the ground AFTER impact.

LOL, I also played twice over the weekend at LaTour (new course in Lafourche parish, which is quite nice by the way). I hit my irons great but drove the ball bad, my good ole slice was with me off the tee.
