Where is the kick?

Should the golfer, on a full iron shot, ‘feel’ an iron shaft recover from forces on it (kick) at some point in the swing? If so, at what swing position, with a well fitted shaft, would that ‘feel’ occur?

Great question!

The shaft does some bending in all directions (and some twisting as well).

Plus the club's dynamic FEEL changes during the downswing. That feel of the club's inertia changes from feeling EASIER to move than it is just holding it in the air in front of you, to about LIKE it does statically, to it being more difficult to move (and feeling like it).

That "i dynamic" location is mid-downswing.

Just thinking about that, due to the feel, logic would suggest it would be easier to get the club on plane whilst in the I-static attitude ?

Yes the eventual impact plane. Thinking is, if the feel is lighter it must be easier to move to any plane ?
