I had played for about five years when I took a lesson after having issues with iron shots and distance. leak hooked it and the teacher gave me a Percy Boomer pivot action, no use of the hands swing. Problem was I shanked or hit to the right every single shot. I gave up, but if the guy had taught me clubface position first, I would have played great golf. If you pivot correctly and do not use a little twistaway on the downswing you will lag the hosel. I am convinced of that and if I found this site then I would be much better off. If I am hitting it bad, it always is due to clubface opening. You can lag all you want, if the clubface stays open, your shot is toast.
