Wie's swing looks awful

It's not her fault, she's sick with lead poisoning. Someone needs to recommend a good doctor.. of the italian variety.

Yep 3/4 mechanical robot chops. Has Leadbetter ever even watched footage of Snead, Nelson, Nicklaus, Hogan, et al? (What aboout the magic with Suzann Petersen -- she's gone from winning 3-4 times a year to winning....wait, how many times this year?)

It is a hideous travesty.

Every once in a while she rears and hits one remembering the swing she used to have when she was 14 and you get a glimpse of it.

At least she is learning from someone some short game techniques. Her short game was pathetic.

Good irons, decent putter, but streaky, not a very good driver of the golf ball for her caliber of player. Everything about her game looks robotic as mentioned above by Niblick. What drives me crazy is when the golf channel crew talks about how good her posture looks at address, silly. She needs de-junkified.

Iron play looks great, driver play has been horrid except for today vs. Alfredsson. Can't imagine she hits the ball anywhere near as long as she did 3 years ago. That's understandable if you're a 32 year old female, not if you're still a teenager. Sad because this is somebody I would love to see work with Brian, if only to teach Wie her old swing back to her where she could then go on to dominate the LPGA like nobody ever has. Right now she's playing like Tiger did on Sunday at the PGA, very good iron play, but so far away from the green that it makes it tough to consistently hit those iron shots close.

Her iron play was very good this today with a lot of well-struck shots. The chopped-off rehearsal swing seems to be something she is increasingly forgetting about when she actually hits the ball. During the Women's British Open she hit a lot more of those mechanical looking shots after the rehearsal. She might work past that whole 3/4 keep your hands in front of your body or whatever instruction it is making her look so odd and restricted at times. I think her bigger issue may ultimately be putting and a lack of killer instinct. She plays like someone who hit a million balls but never learned much in the way of feel around the greens (Petersen too?) or had to make many putts to win tournaments. But she's only 19. We'll see.

She proved today and the whole Solheim Cup that she can putt and has a killer instinct and is a team player, what else could you ask for? It's not how it looks , it's how it performs, ask Furyk.

ZZtop/homeless/micro etc.etc.? Is that you?:p How have you been?

Whatever that means, no it's not.

My deepest and most sincere apologies. If you read what those people that ran under those screen names wrote you would be deeply offended, as they were true morons. Please forgive me. I hope you enjoy the forum, as it's the best place on the web..oh and ditto to you "gimme".

Videos anybody?

To her credit, down the stretch vs. Alfredson today she hit some pretty big bombs off the tee. On 18 she swung almost out of her shoes...making a Gary Player walk thru type of swing down the ball and blasting it down the pipe a good ways.

Gotta give Beth Daniel a lot of credit. I think it's imperative that captain's picks are usually young and upcoming players just to give them some experience and see how they handle things. Wie handled it great this weekend and it surprised me just how well she handled it.
