Wie's swing looks awful

She proved today and the whole Solheim Cup that she can putt and has a killer instinct and is a team player, what else could you ask for? It's not how it looks , it's how it performs, ask Furyk.

Big difference between her and Furyk. I think it's safe to say that Furyk made the most out of his ability. Wie was actually better from a golfing standpoint before her parents screwed things up and then made things worse by going to Leadbetter. I think the mistake was not realizing that she had a long way to go with her putting and she was woefully inexperienced because she was still a teenager going thru the maturation process. So they tried to mess with her swing which really wasn't the problem and now she's a lot shorter off the tee than she once was.

I think this is a great experience for her career and whatever Dave Stockton is teaching her with her putting it seems to be working. But I doubt she'll ever reach the potential we all thought she had when she first came out on the scene if she doesn't get more of her old swing back.

The walk through was crazy, big drive. I told my buddy I've never seen any professional make such a move, never saw Player back in the day. I need to look at his swing more. Did he lay off the club too? Anyhoo..The only reason I watched the Solheim cup was for Michelle Wie, she's interesting. Nope..I lied, I watched it for two reasons Wie and GULBIS, but she is interesting for another reason.

Iron play looks great, driver play has been horrid except for today vs. Alfredsson. Can't imagine she hits the ball anywhere near as long as she did 3 years ago. That's understandable if you're a 32 year old female, not if you're still a teenager. Sad because this is somebody I would love to see work with Brian, if only to teach Wie her old swing back to her where she could then go on to dominate the LPGA like nobody ever has. Right now she's playing like Tiger did on Sunday at the PGA, very good iron play, but so far away from the green that it makes it tough to consistently hit those iron shots close.

Was she that short off the tee, it seemed like she was always hitting last and had a much shorter club in on most of the holes?

She's young ,long way to go. I wouldn't write her off just yet.

Haven't read the thread, but it's not how, it's how many (for the most part)...

3-0-1.

The few swings I saw, she looked pretty good to me...

Alfredsson is no longer that long off the tee for a female...she's 44 years old. Wie is much shorter off the tee than she once was. This was a girl that was fairly long off the tee for a PGA Tour player and had obscene length off the tee for a female. Remember how Mac O'Grady claimed what she was doing wasn't physically possible? Regardless of your thoughts of O'Grady, there was a reason why he was saying it...her length off the tee was ridiculous.

I felt because of that she had the best 'chance' of making a cut at a PGA Tour event, winning the most LPGA majors ever without breaking a sweat, and accomplishing other things that we didn't think was possible. I think now she's more in the mode of having a very nice career, winning 2-3 majors and never even sniffing a cut at a PGA Tour event.

When she was younger GG at least had her making a decent pivot with the driver, for her. Get behind it, and POW..she was awesome. Leadpoison is looney.
