Pictures from this weekend

I didn't get a single minute this weekend to watch any of the LPGA event. How did her swing look?Where were her misses? Why did she not play well the final round? Does anyone have pics of her swinging a club this weekend?

I've never tried; you've never won!

I'm willing to bet the family farm that anyone that is shooting the breeze with me has never won a PGA tour event.

You've never tried? As in, you've never played in a tournament? Wow.

Have I ever won a PGA Tour event? No. Have I won a tournament? Yes.

I haven't won as a professional yet, but I've been close. My roommate has won multiple amateur and college tournaments, and won twice last year in his first year as a professional. And we both agree that you definitely learn how to win a golf tournament.

I've probably won and loss more money playing golf than all of 'youz' combined. ;)

Michelle Wie is the 2nd most important person in all of golfdom.

you keep digging a deeper and deeper hole with every post...

money games aren't tournaments. if you are going to brag(not really sure about bragging about losses though) about money you have won and "loss", then you better post a figure.

She is the typical pet creation of the liberal media's obsession with race and gender. They desparately want to make a female golfer relevant and the truth is no one gives a ****.

This is the only post worth replying to. I think that she is relevant because people actually show up to LPGA events, and watch women's golf on TV when she's playing. The faith of the LPGA tour is on her shoulders. A lot of pressure for a kid. I feel bad for her. She was just a young kid with a great swing, and dreams, but the hype machine attempted to turn her into much more. I do not believe that race has anything to do with it.

Liberal media :) Partisanship is a form of idiocy!

LOL at the guys trying to explain the difference between tourney play and money play.

ive never heard of a golf hustler afraid to talk about his winnings number-wise. i guess you are the guy in the money game that is the mark but that always claims to "break even most of the time".

I agree with the first part of this post. You are dead-on; the poor kid got hyped too much, too fast, too young. I hate to judge her parents just because it's not fair without knowing them, but I have to wonder if they worked in favor of or against the hype machine.

And you can LOL at us all you want. We're doing it right back at the guy that thinks there's no difference but has only actually done half of it .

Welcome to the internet!!! :) The key is to stir up ___, and laugh at everyone. Similar to those bum fight videos... midget wrestling... small school buses ;)

BTW I never said that money games and tournaments are the same. Reading comprehension is a valuable skill :) I wrote: I've won and lost more money than all of 'youz'.

Someone please breakdown what "learning how to win" is?

Does she need to learn how to play with a lead?

Does she need to learn how to play from behind?

Consistent winners seem to be more fully seized of their limitations and give them parity with their strengths. It is strategic (can be learned) and interestingly seems to amplify the high end of their skills while managing their exposure.

Of course Secretariat would argue there is a better approach to winning.:)

It would seem that Michelle Wie and her parents had the perfect model for how to create a legendary golfer from a talented junior i.e. Tiger Woods, her parents seem determined to the exact opposite of what Earl Woods did with Tiger, I think that her parents are very conceited for doing this, I personally would have done what Earl did, every thing he did with Tiger was logical and wise.

PS what's with the MA avatar?

I'm a fan, and have tinkered with several of his ideas.

PLUS+ I've decided to overpower every course I play ;)

My current pattern: Michelle Wie's takeaway;) + a see saw-teeter tot pivot + teen girl extension + a very subtle weight left move + elements of Austin's downswing = Distance with accuracy

Left hand pull for a med. trajectory draw; right hand throw for a booming fade.

Golf is fun!
