I LOL'ed. He convinced himself that he doesn't like the course then he proved it true.

How can you not like a course that might earn you $10M?

Bubba seems to do this often when he gets off to a bad start. He sulks and pouts. The opposite of a grinder.

In post-round interviews he complained about the course because the rough caused him to have too many flyers.

Hey, Bubba, you might want to try hitting a fairway.

In his interview he said that on 16 he hit a flyer wedge 180 yards on 16 (way over the green) and on 17 he hit another 180 yard flyer wedge way over the green, then pitched into the water, duffed a couple of chips and then made a putt for 9.

So the #1 Greens In Regulation player on the PGA Tour shoots 79..what's the lesson for you? Is Bubba a freak of inconsistency or is his range from 61 to 79ish about normal? How big a factor is Randomness in the game? How big is attitude? PGA Tour pros all have about 18 shots between best and worst...how much tighter does your score range deserve to be?

See above. Whatever the opposite of "grinder" is, that's Bubba. He's immensely talented and when he's playing well he focuses. But if he hits it bad he becomes a lousy player mentally.
