Wrist position at top and release

Is there an ideal wrist position at the top of the swing that will optimize the release motion described in the release thread ? It seems as if the release motion desribed is easier when the left wrist is under the shaft at the top of the swing, i.e. Tom Watson, Nicklaus...

That is a major problem for leftee's i guess. And i am among them.
