I just can't make up my mind. Several of my customers have mentiond it but I have never built a club with it.

First of all, it adds more weight to the over all club weight. Sometimes not a good thing and sometimes it's good.

Second. Adding weight in the butt fools the swingweight machine.

I don't know ...... I guess I just have to try one.

Several people have tried to do the same thing using a standard bolt and wrapping foam around it then inserting in the butt end of the shaft. I bought a used McGregor MOI putter and didnt like the grip. Didnt really like the way the putter felt for that matter. Before I sold it I decided to try a different grip on it. Removed the grip and discovered the homemade balance certified experiment. Removed that, installed a new grip and love the putter now. I just didnt care for the weight in the end. A lot of people seem to like it and think it helps a full swing stay on plane better. I dont see it, but maybe it's a good placebo for some??

FanofHogan....it only works for certain people and the putter is the hardest one to fit because the "weight" that might help your stroke can be anywhere from 30g to 110g!

That is why the balance-certified "kit" comes with a lot of weights to try out.

I have an excellent stroke and i could putt with a broom stick, but thats me. Other people need help.

Jim-Putting is the one thing I have always been pretty decent at. That putter just never felt right from the get go. After removing the weight, I really like the way the putter feels and so far it's been a good marriage. :)
