I've seen probably countless pros do this, be it the Tour pro or the local club pro. Absolutely the height of bad golf ettiquette.

Check out the YouTube video of Bubba Watson and Steve Elkington at the Zurich Classic. A good example of what you describe: Watson says to Elkington: "You gonna stop walking, man?" Complains that he "did it all day yesterday" and then says that veterans can kiss his shorts.

yah bubba said after he did that a lot of tour players shook his hand and thanked him so apparently elkington is kinda notorious for bad etiquette.

Bubba's interview with golf digest
Little Bubba, Big Bubba: Golf Digest Magazine "Watson's microphone-captured blowup at Steve Elkington during the second round of last year's New Orleans event came after Watson believed that Elkington had once again moved as he was preparing to hit. "You gonna stop walking, man? Damn," Watson said as he stepped away from a wedge shot. Then, trying to gather himself, he said to Scott, "I'll tell you what, man: Veterans can kiss my ass." After the round, Watson apologized profusely for his language, saying, "I'm not like Charles Barkley; I'd love to be a role model." Watson says that he and Elkington have since made peace, but referring to Elkington's reputation on tour for gamesmanship, adds: "After everybody heard what happened, at least 20 guys came up to me and shook my hand."

Elkington aside, I watched Bubba's Playing Lessons with Johnny Damon...eek...gotta be the worst I've seen...and one of the worst golf instruction programs I've seen ever. I did feel awkward watching it.
