Starting in about a week, the Brian Manzella Golf Academy will be offering SWING ANALYSIS utilizing video, graphics, and person-to-person telephone contact.

We have always offered this when we could, but soon it will be a regular service.

Here how it will work:

You will send us video. We will send you a "marked up" video link. We will set-up a time to discuss your game and swing for 20 minutes.

You will work on your adjustments, and send us new video. We will mark that video up, and set-up a time to discuss again for 20 minutes.

We will then tape a 10 min "lesson" for you and send you the link.

This will take us about 2 hours total to complete (2x20 minute phone lessons [40 minutes], 45-60 minutes of downloading, marking, and uploading video video, 10 minutes lesson taping, 20 minutes set-up & uploading lesson, min.)

Cost will be $300 for Brian Manzella
and $200 for staff instructors.

We will no longer allow posting and analysis on the forum, when the service is "up."

We are very excited about helping you with your game, and upgrading a service we were doing in the background already.

Sweet. What will you need on the video, in terms of camera angle, club selection, shot type (full swing, chip, pitch), etc?

What about Frames-per-second capability? We talked a little about this in Michegan Brian, will it work if I am using the video feature of my digital camera?

Scary Coincidence!

Hey Brian, this is a scary co-incidence as i was going to send you a message today asking whether you were considering offering this type of service sometime in the future. I know for people like myself on the other side of the planet that this will be really valuable.... thanks again for taking the lead in golf instruction !!

Cheers

Excellent,

Just reward for your help to all
(Glad I got a mini freebie)

Looks like i'll need to set my alarm clock for a silly hour for the phone call

Exclusive silent version?

And for all of us all over the Planet Golf who have no ability (at all) to speak English (especially at strange hours) there will be a silent e-mail way of doing it? I´ll probably be speechless anyway in Brian´s telephone presence.

What about Video Chat?

Hey Brian,

This sounds great! I just need to buy a video camera and I'll be one of the first to sign up for this.

One question: I know you are a Mac user, so assume you've got iSight and a iChat - for those of us lucky enough to have great broadband, any chance of doing video chats as substitutes for the phone calls? Just a thought!

cheers...

I can see the day where you can give the lesson live remotely via internet/video.

I'm sure you're worth it, but the price is steep. However, what a great way to create your very own market. THIS is innovation! BEST OF LUCK!

Brian,
You have a terrific and growing user base because you and the team work very hard at it. IMHO why drive traffic to competing golf sites? Why not allow people to post their swings on the condition that they do not request or expect a response from the Manzella team?

I'd want to be paid for my time. I feel we get plenty of free advice in the form of the show and video answers. I feel charging for specific swing analysis is perfectly fair. And I think we all know Brian and his team are worth it.

I think we would get more help than we do already, especially for those of us across the pond in Blighty.

I'm in.....and c'mon the mighty Everton in the English Premier Football League this weekend. Off to Goodison to watch them...... :D

Easy there mate. I work in the UK where we are not all multiple property owning millionaires. I've worked the majority of my career in the british national health service and that does not pay well for taking the time to do quality work.I'm still paying off my loans for putting myself through dental school 7 years after qualifying. Am I poor, no, but $300 is not "loose change"

I have to admit to getting annoyed when people assume i'm loaded just because i'm a dentist. If I was that rich i'd fly Brian over here myself.

I just think that $300 is cheap for someone of Brians ability when you compare him to others and what you would get. I'm not saying it is cheap compared to what people can afford, I couldn't and have no right to ask what people can or can't afford. Why should he work for free? A lot of people spend more than that on equipment that won't do anywhere near as much for them.

I couldn't afford a lesson with Butch Harmon, Hank Haney etc when you see what they charge per hour.

I now wouldn't want to either as Brian I feel is a better coach from what I have seen. It would be the most I have ever spent on a lesson.

Mini rant over and sorry if I seem angry but i've worked f£$%^ng hard to get where I have through borrowing a load of money to fund myself.

Don't worry Welshdentist. After Hillary gets elected, she'll make sure that US dentists don't make any more than you!

Nothing personal to the members; I don't want the board in general to analyze my swing. Too much incorrect information. I would be happy to pay Brian, Mike, Jim etc so I get CORRECT answers.
