The low down

Talked to Brian last night, he described the process to me in full detail ---

Its a great program, actually better then great - its the best opportunity in the industry to improve your game from home

When you fully understand how the program works you will see that it is well worth it

Regrettable there are also many troubled people in Norway , but I agree that many of us know how to enjoy the finer things in life... ;)

Interesting match for you guys this weekend, not sure what I prefer, rat posion or arsenic

What the heck I'll throw my 2 cents in..........

300/200 seems pretty steep. However, the Manzellion is pretty good at marketing is stuff so I'm sure the demad will be there.

Oh, forget to mention. The puddin' is pretty good though. Make that real good. :)

I'm in.....and c'mon the mighty Everton in the English Premier Football League this weekend. Off to Goodison to watch them...... :D

May I remind you that in the immortal words of the never to be forgotten Bill Shankley, there are only two good teams in Liverpool - Liverpool and Liverpool Reserves.:)

Surely a Welsh Dentist should be supporting Cardiff, especially as they now have one good player in Robbie Fowler!

Wrexham is my closest team by Neville Southall was my hero growing up.

Very tough games for Everton and Liverpool. Pompey away is tough too.

Bill Shankly actuaslly used to go to Bellefield to watch Everton train after falling out with the Liverpool board, and if we are getting into quotes

"We do not have your history, but we do not have your shame"

Back to the golf before everyone gets bored with me

I'd like to see choices and levels so all budgets/wishes/needs could be covered. Of course this isn't going to happen immediately but it sure would be interesting. A bottom level might be Brian watching your swing video or short clip and putting you on the straight and narrow just thru an email even. Brian's description of his first lesson actions come immediately to mind, in his own words

"1. First lesson, I blow up your current problems/pattern with a pattern & idea DESIGNED TO eradicate the JUNK from you game."

Fascinating stuff.

"We will no longer allow posting and analysis on the forum, when the service is "up.""

Brian,
You have a terrific and growing user base because you and the team work very hard at it. IMHO why drive traffic to competing golf sites? Why not allow people to post their swings on the condition that they do not request or expect a response from the Manzella team?

I agree. I see no problem with posting your swing and letting OTHERS view it and make comments. I can understand if Brian doesn't make any comments since that's like giving a free lesson, but why can't others make comments????

No difference than me posting a question about my current swing and then others chiming in trying to help.

I think posting and analysis by members in support of one another is a great feature for building and sustaining a strong sense of community for the site. I would be very hesitant to diminish that rare achievement. I don't think this excellent feature and well deserved commercial pursuits are mutually exclusive. I think some creative thinking can find a 'win-win' solution.

I concur. Mutual help is an ongoing aspect of this website. At the same time, "expecting" a very busy BM or staff to respond to a posted video is unreasonable unless it fits in their timeframe and framework. I agree, seek the "win win".

Brian is a giving dude, he made the policy because he probably could not stand it to see somebody he could help and not doing it.

This forum does a great job helping each other and I think this new service will make it even better.

Here's the rub. Brian gives a lot to the members here. You can't expect free video lessons.

Most of the posts I read from many members are flat wrong. Do we want wrong answers?

Well I'm not one who has posted up a video, so it's hard to answer what is in the mind of someone who does. My feeling is "asking for free help" does entail a big risk of getting some bad answers.

IMO, it certainly is hard to detect the "true fault" from a video, but I suppose posting "guesses" lets us all learn (sometimes).

But the same criticism you point out could be made of any textual question asked. How many textual answers which we regular members post are off the mark? So, cut off non-staff postings? No. They've already made drop down areas "For Brian Only" and/or "BM Staff" and many questions are open to the general membership.

I had a martial arts instructor tell me that you can learn something from everyone. Even if what you learn from them is that you don't want to do it their way or what they are doing.

I think I'll save my $'s on the video lesson at first and get to a location to get a lesson from Mr Manzella live... then go with a video lesson afterwards. This way I would have some type of face to face interaction before trying to chat on the phone about my swing. The problem is trying to get somewhere within 4 hours.

In what format would you like to receive the video. DVD, VHS a "You Tube" link, etc. Then down load to you, mail to you, etc. By the way don't even know how to use you tube. LOL....seriuosly

Yes the prices may be a bit on the high side, especially when you consider the cost of the anaylsis to date.

I think most golfers have spent more money on junk be it books, mags, etc than this analysis will cost and this will at least have some positive effects that is about your swing, not some tour pro, etc.

I have avoided commenting on most vids on the internet, I will ask questions or ask if that was what was intended, but so many of the vids can really be misleading based on how they were taken. Given you get someone who has seen just about everyway to take a vid, not sure he or his team has seen one taken upside down, they can filter out what is and what isn't.

Good luck..

Not the point.

Yes the prices may be a bit on the high side, especially when you consider the cost of the anaylsis to date.

I have had dozens of folks do it already. The "price" is just my normal "in-town" hourly rate.

I am just going to start doing it—along with Mike Jacobs—on a larger scale.

Folks just want the free advice too, and without the "folks" there is no site, so I am going to do both.

That's the point. ;)
