Shouldnt he be carrying it much further though because the initial numbers look really low?

Maybe, thats why I'm asking. However it is theoretically possible that he was carrying it further with less loft, although in this case I would doubt it. My carry is longer with my driver than with my wedge....

when I made the statement I was thinking it was like a 6 or 7 iron, sorry for not being clear.

It is a six iron, gmb, you're right. With my driver/wedge comment I was just refering to the fact that a higher launch angle does not always equate to more distance.
