I'm a recovering bps'er (below the plane syndrome). Some of my difficulty seems to come not enough up and improper motion with the right elbow: it gets too much behind me. I've recently tinkered with adding some up to the backswing by trying to get my right elbow to move more or less in the way it does when hoisting a beer to mouth. This seems to help and has the added benefit of apparently loading the left wrist much more than I usually do. At least I fee much more pressure on the right thumb.
Question: is this an orthodox motion to add? Is it going to cause trouble down the road?
Thanks.
