Going back to a review of the Impact Zone book. Was there a tight budjet on producing this book. Why are the swing vision photos in Black and White and why does Mr Clampett look like he is wearing dirty coal mining boots.

Ha! I agree. This is one cheaply produced book. I know everyone here loves it, but I think it's almost as poorly edited and put together as the Hardy book.

clampett book

good ideas BUT how about more drills to really learn and feel the main theses of his book, i.e. how to load and lag and "lag that load"....how to feel it????

Buy a book/ read internet = cheap skates

Criticise a golf school because you didnt like the food = idiots

Critise TGM because not pop marketed = ADHD

Take a couple of hour lessons from real deal TGM AI = good investment

Come on guys get with the real issues and the big picture.

The teeny tiny black and white photos stopped a very good book becoming a great book. Pity there was not more full size colour photos.

You're right Bobby should have changed out of his navvy boots before posing for the photos!!

But is has to be said the content of the book is superb, well written and very readable.

I agree, and it seems to me to be unfair to nit pick what seems to be an otherwise excellent work. It's not easy to get a book published and have it turn out perfect. The photos in Elkington's book are black and white, and the pages fall out. As a cheap skate I hate it when pages fall out.

TBH, which is worth more, a nice glossy hardback book full of useless info, or a few sides of crudely printed letter paper with good info?....

Taking this thread over....

OK.

Here is the wrap-up of this thread.

Bobby Clampett fianlly wrote a book he said he wantred to do a long time ago.

For a non-teacher, and a non-writer, he did a pretty good job.

The book is visually pretty poor, but most books are.

As a "real TGM" book, it is less effective than as a "golf book."

Next.

I believe you, but let me ask you this : how many drivers have you purchased over the last 3 years? and how many resort courses have you payed inflated green fees to play over the past 3 years?

Priorities!

For some of us, it's all we can afford

Again, some of us aren't fortunate enough to be able to afford to be able to to something like this.

For me, personally, I'm playing with a Titleist 975D that my father gave me, and I've never been able to play a resort course. I only get to play after I've saved up enough money to; as much as I love the game, anything golf related is throwaway money that I generally can't afford to throwaway. That said, I understand your point, for those who it applies to. But for some of us, it really dosen't apply.
