Ron Gring is a great ambassador for TGM. He knows his stuff and can do his stuff.
He himself is proof of how multi- dimensional this great game is.
If it were only the " Swing or Hit" that raked in the dollars, he would probably be ahead of his "pupils".
I am not certain that I can live up to what you have said, it such high praise, but thank you.

The big boys have come out to play...c'mon, men, let's hear the rest of this.
Ron, please tell us what you do with your tour guys.
Durant is all over my V1 and I show him to my students every day. My pal Bob May always gets mistaken for him.
Faxon, who I respect hugely for many reasons, steers it and as Tongz said, his Physics don't really create his Geometry. He finds positions. Andrade's Physics are better.
Didn't he shoot 61 pretty recently to win? Stud!

Ron,

I gave a clinic this summer with Brad Faxon. He said you have the best swing he ever saw. We spoke briefly about your work with him and TGM. He does NOT understand TGM terminology as far as I could determine. He does not like things too complex. Prefers to play by feel.

Having played junior golf with both Faxon and Andrade (I am year younger than Faxon and a few years older than Andrade), there motions now look similar to what they looked like when were kids. More precise now, however. Faxon use to hook alot in his earlier days as a junior.

Both he and Andrade could putt lights out. Andradre use to use a Tommy Armour Iron Master with a green-rusted shaft and would bend over so far you would swear a stiff breeze from behind would knock him over (but I digress).

Faxon grewup with teachers like Fred Bruno at RICC, Joe Benevento at Metacomet CC, and Dave Collins (Dana Quigley's former assistant at Crest wood CC). Only Dave had any knowledge of TGM. IMO, linking up with Collins is when his ball striking started to improve (this was prior to working with you and Jim McLean). His association with Collins I believe is what brought him to McLean (Collins is one of McLean's lead instructors). McLean and Faxon had a brief falling out when McLean wanted a percentage of Faxon's winnings instead of paying McLean a flat rate.

If Faxon hit two more fairways during a round, how far would he move up the list in driving accuracy? I think driving accuracy top to bottom is alot closer than we think.

This thread was in the freezer for a couple of days.

I knocked off the freezer burn and here it is!

Let's talk about Faxon's swing(s) or Ron's teaching or something worthwhile...

Cool?:D
