I have an she does. Tons of leakage. When has anyone said Ben Curtis doesn't flip it?

Remember my initial comment was she must be very talented to play that way. There are alot of ways to get it done based on your talent level.

Creamer doesn't flip. At least she doesn't if you don't consider Ben Curtis to be a flipper(which is the Manzella party line). Check out a swing sequence. Perhaps the reason she doesn't hit it very far is because she is only 5'9 and is *gasp* built like a girl!

Actually if you look at that old thread on Ben Curtis I think you'll see Brian saying Curtis is close to flipping and on his bad shots probably is flipping. But Ben Curtis doesn't have a spread of 20 yards in distance on his 80-120 yard wedges; if he did, he wouldn't be on the PGA Tour. Just looking at what she did on that hour show and this past weekend, she looks way more flippy than Curtis.

I'll leave the flip or no flip judgment for the expert and the armchair theoreticians, BUT

Ochoa is 3 inches shorter, and hits it about 30 yards longer. Creamers lack of distance has to be mechanical, and not because she's a gal. She should try to get faster/stronger.

Ultimately, who cares? She's money in the bank.

She's doing everything right: #4 in the world, and #2 on the money list!

Has anyone stopped to think that the average LPGA player doesn't need to be solid from 120 yards?

I use to play a similar style of golf, and did not need a strong wedge game: 240 yard long iron/hybrid off the tee, 5 iron approach rolled through the green, a Texas wedge, a putt, and a par.

I love this youtube clip

After I'd been playing for a couple of years, I would hit the shortest club off the tee that would allow me to hit wedge, 9, or 8 iron, just to keep it on the course. I mean, there were times when I was hitting wedge off the tee of a par 4. Now I go the opposite way; I hit driver whenever I have the room to do it. I figure the more I hit it, the less foreign it will feel when I need to hit it.

There are exceptions (let me get that out the way first), but I think a lot of people would say that being taller is advantageous in hitting the ball farther. I don't know why, but it does seem that way. Maybe it has to do with better leverage or something. But if you look at some of the longest hitters around, most of them are taller individuals.

Maybe that's why people get all excited when some short guy hits the ball a mile. You expect it out of the tall guy, not the little fella.

since when does height have much to do with distance? especially a difference as small as 3 inches.

You made height an issue. (LOOK BELOW)

Your premise: She is only 5'9, and built like a girl...

Taller golfers typically hit the ball longer because they are able to use a longer lever. Ochoa is smaller, a girl, and hits it about 30 yards longer.
