Seems like he's on fire with his 12 stroke victory at the Alfred Dunhill Championship and 11 stroke victory at the Thailand Golf Champtionship last week. Not a US Open field, but still very impressive. He must be doing something right...

Too much pop out.

Lol.

Just win, baby.

Meshes and matches those components well enough to win.

Enough said.

Under late, obviously minor though. But anyone with that issue has a potential two way miss

All right Shields, I'll bite. Every shot that's hit is going to miss its intended target, right OR left. No such thing as a one way miss...nearly every shot is a miss, its just a matter of degrees.

Point #2, since a great year for any Touring professional is multiple wins (out of 30+ events), most guys spend the rest of the year working on something and falling in an out of slumps. Even Rory, even Sergio.

And so it begins.

Good point. What did Rory do, if any knows, to break that slump of several missed cuts, and finish so strong? Swing change? Confidence? It went from Rory couldn't find it to Rory the best somewhere in there

I reckon Rory slacked off on working on his game for a couple of weeks - no more complex than that.

Kevin can you explain what you think Schwartzel's mechanical issue is?

As an amateur, I am not a big fan of his hip motion. Specifically I don't think they move enough in the backswing.

He seems to do better in warmer weather.

more acive hips will put the club more behind him; with his downswing move hed be more under than he is now. I'm betting his Trackman number have some in-to-out to them...

Basically, from his top of his and the way he unwinds the club tends to lay down later increasing the chances of being inside out late. It's an awesome swing btw.

Charl, if you're reading, despite my doubts about your hip action I would STILL swop swings with you!
