There are much better swing motions than this one. Actually, winning at the Masters is the least possible test on ballstriking and motion quality. His stats say a lot -- he's miserable. Similar to Johnson and a few surprise (no surprise for me on such a pampered course where everything is possible) winners.

Cheers

It's an awesome swing, period. Dariusz, you'd shit yourself if you saw how tough that course is. If anything, the US Open provides more fluke winners than the Masters. You'd have to agree, no?

I've seen better ones, Kevin, no matter if you shit yourself or not. If you think one Masters win is enough to be in heaven, so be it. We have Holidays. This is this guy wikipedia stats:

I never said I haven't seen better ones. And I also never said one Masters win is enough to be in heaven. Where did you come up with that. Why do people reference stats? I just don't get it.

This is what I've always hated about the U.S. Open. Steve Jones? (that one hurt I was a huge DLIII fan). Lee Janzen and Andy North were each 2 time flukes.

Kevin, I prefer your swing over Schwartzel's. Is it allowed ?
Statistics are useful to show someone's consistency. Without statistics (and with media showing only dance floors) people would think that e.g. Woods is a marvellous driver and his tee-to-green game is on a highest level.

Hmm. I still trust the eye test and the words of people who know over statistics. Stats can't tell a players style, he difficulty of the course, etc. Hogan himself said he missed a certain green on purpose. He would get penalized in the stat department. I was watching Honda Classic highlights last night (get a life??) and I watched McIroy purposely miss greens to the safe side because he had built up a lead.

Also, I appreciate the nice words but one would have to be smoking something strong to think my swing could measure up against Schwartzels.:)

That's true. Nevertheless, stats still can be a tool to verify someone's consistency IN A VERY GENERAL MEANING. Missing a green or two on purpose would not change the general view. E.g. post-secret Hogan's around 90% GIR will still be an unreachable standard.

With all due respect you're not a cute girl and this was not a compliment. I watch swings through the prism of kinetics (trying to be objective not taking into account one's achievements) and your swing motion is much closer to my ideal than Schwartzel's.
BTW, I quit smoking 3 years ago but occasionally like to smoke a small cigar. Smoked grass long ago when being in the army and it had literally no effect one me. 60% home made vodka is better here -- but increases aggression which is enough big argument to limit its usage. :)

Although I was too young to put it into practice in the 60-ies, I recorded some of my early guitar solos together with Jimi H. I mean I recorded some sounds on one path while his "Voodoo Child" was recorded on the other and mixed them both ;)

Grass was the only reason I liked that comment. Maybe cut the vokda and smoke the grass until it does something to you?

I am cutting vodka seriously from some time. And I won't replace it with another garbage.

You're half way there, sir. And I'm still a world away from Poland. That's until I roll this one up. Right into the cup.

You have an eclectic set of heroes Dariusz.

I'm not sure that Hogan and Hendrix would work as a dinner party, but I admire your taste!

:) While I have no idea what you're saying (my English isn't that good) I wish you a great Holidays, mate.

:) I'll retort this way, Birly: if Hogan had been so natural-born talented artist as Jimi, Woods would have been chasing Hogan's records not Nicklaus' and Snead's. OTOH, if Hendrix had had Ben's strength, we would have been blessed with better things than "Hey Joe", "V.C." and "Rainbow Bridge" taken together but recorded a bit later in the 70-ies when Zeppelins, Purples and Sabbaths would have played as his support.

Cheers

Dariusz,
I'm playing a hunch here, but were you ever into the Pistols?

I have gone through almost everything (maybe except disco, reggae and country music). Although punk and post-punk music (not values, but the very music) seemed to be too primitive to me I had my time with Pistols, Clash, Damned, etc. ending at such post-punk pearls as Joy D., Bauhaus or early DCD. Until now, I listen either good rock/metal or cold vawe. These are my biggest loves in music.

Cheers

P.S. I am getting older since I discover classic music again after the first fascination. Ces't la vie, time runs quickly.
