Last time out duffed chips and short pitches cost me at least 5 strokes[B)]
Today I watched the Ben Doyle tape with special focus on this issue. He says that you can start from impact hands or classic address with or without forward press. This season I've had some succes with the latter. (I changed from the Pelz method with the ball way back in the stance).
I've found that chipping with the ball in a more forward position and starting from classic address hand position gives me much nicer contact with the ball, but I have a tendency to duff them once in a while. (The Pelz method is kind of idiot safe).
What procedure do you guys use or teach?
