Did Anyone Watch Rush

I swore, after the 4th episode of the Romano debacle, that I would never again watch the Haney project, but I kind of like Rush so I tuned in.

1. Whether you like Rush or not, he is a pretty entertaining guy IMO.
2. He doesn’t have that bad of a move, definitely more talented than Romano.
3. This should be a slam dunk for any teacher worth their weight.
4. I just kept sitting there thinking, “I know at least 20 people on brianmanzella.com could fix this guy right away. Heck, I may even be able to do it!
5. Haney’s plan for Rush is to give him more confidence, help him ‘manage his way around the course and manage his game better’

his mouth and politics aside, i think he is a decent golfer with a lot of potential. he seems very inquisitive and has some vision what he is looking for. (many students tend to get run over by the teachers:)

he is clearly a quick study if what we were shown is typical of him.

i think haney and rush have a good rapport.

This season is all about getting Hank a win. I like Rush, but this one is more about HH's reputation rehab. Notice the insert of the wife. And notice how there is no definable goal for Rush to reach. Easy to be a success at the end when the only concrete goal is to finish production.

Best pupil you could ask for. Your the teacher tell me what I need to do. Not I do this, this, this, this and this. Now fix those and I'll be good.

I used to work at a club where Rush is a member and he was out there everyday playing so I am going to call bs on that he is a two day a week golfer. I hope it works out for him he was always nice to the golf staff. The golf channel must have a nice budget if Haney is staying at the Breakers the whole time they are taping the show.

After all, it's highly relevant to the thread, noone is going to watch this show to learn how to teach golf better.

Wife:the old guy in the Amex commercials?
Hank:you know, they sing the CSI theme song
Wife: Oh, an oldies band!
Wife: couldn't we go see the Backstreet Boys, there touring again.
Hank:Who?
Wife:are we back to that?

I watched a bit of it.

I think the wife thing is purely, wifey trying to become a starlet and
Haney caving to her wishes like a little puppy dog. It's called being P...y Wh....d.

The thing I just can't figure out is this. Rush has played since '97 and
has some athletic skills. He says he has taken lessons over the years
from famous instructors. Says he is a weekend player, but as one of
our members says, he is a frequent player.

How can someone that smart, not figure out where his clubhead is during the swing? How can he not figure out how to hit a sand shot? Baffling to me.

I thought it was more entertaining than the last ones. Hank even said Rush knows more than he thinks he does. Of course maybe none of these famous teachers ever explained anything to him either.

Don't see myself making plans to watch it every week but I will watch if I happen to see it on.
