Drag the handle

Mandrin,

Am I anywhere near on the right track :)

The right hand (trail hand) is continuing to thrust along the plane line.
The left hand (lead hand) is being pulled in and around to the left by rotation forces created by the pivot.
As the fulcrum (left shoulder socket) moves on its circular (curvelinaer) path during relase and follow though the left hand and wrist also has to move in a curvelinaer fashion on a similar arc to that of the left shoulder. As the left shoulder moves further from the ball during release/impact it allows the right arm to work downplane and create force in the direction similar to the plane line.

Thanks GH for the Video

Here is a video showing the handle moving to the left pocket. Go to 0:50 to 0:58 in the video and you will see what I am talking about.

I knew I had heard your name before. I had the Pure Swing, but it broke.

I threw it out, sorry.
Anyhow, I would love to see more info on the left pocket. Man, can I lag the hosel, and I've never seen info like you have provided.
Are you anywhere near Sebring, FL? Or Naples?

I am working on a video for youtube and will have it up soon for the forum.

I know Brian is planning a instruction tour of the states this summer so contact him for lessons. He knows how to teach it as well.

twitch127,

I got curious about what I really meant to convey and went through a myriad of old files. Found one - ‘Butt dancing past a black hole’. It dated back to 2002 and it was seemingly some picturesque interpretation of several posts regarding 1) Bertholy’s concept of centripetal seeking of the body’s center throughout the down swing. Also 2) of posts where, somewhat like in martial arts, the center of the swing was thought to be somewhere in the lower body and 3) moreover of posts dealing with the concept of ‘swinging to a point‘.

I see that you very imaginatively have found a rather different interpretation but that is the fun about a more ‘artistic’ view of the down swing, it can be interpreted in many different ways. ;)

I saw Brian last year at golf school here in NY. I am also friendly with Mike Jacobs, who I have worked with a bit. I excerpted some of what you've posted in this thread on MJ's site, giving you full credit as due. Mike's a very smart and gifted teacher, so I wanted his input because he knows my swing.
Thanks for the eye opening...

You are correct Brian, Mike and the Manzella Staff are all top instructors in my book and should get more credit in this industry. If is folks like yourself, spreading the word to many golfers about their instruction and a better way to learn golf that counts. Thanks

Any chance you can post some of it or email me a link. I would like to read about it. Thanks
