Buy it Dude

Hello everyone, need a little help with this DVD. I'm on the fence right now as far as buying it or not. Just so you know, I pretty much have all of Brian's and Michael's dvds. I'm just curious since there's so many different patterns out there. For instance, I see the grip is one of the topics. It seems like some of the patterns have a slightly different grip. So how does the DVD cover this? Obviously, you don't have to give me specifics, I'm just curious how it gets handled. The same goes for lineup, backswing, etc. Thanks

Curtis

The stuff on the driver is worth the price alone IMO.

It's great Brian. Quite comprehensive and ties a lot of things together. I have enjoyed it a lot. (kind of a little dose of what will go down in Long Island in June!)

Best of luck with the big release you guys deserve a big exposure to the masses!

Steve

Release on the forum and feedback on the vdu is like something 2 hrs apart. Until now, I am still waiting for mine after 2 weeks. That's nice.

New member here (6 hcp), great forum!!!

Trying to incorporate TGM and Mr. Manzella's concepts into my golf swing. Thought about purchasing the SDP DVD but decided to go with this one (for starters). Took what I've read/watched thus far to the driving range yesterday for the first time. Lot of good shots, some bad ones (old habits die hard). Going to take a little longer to mix in the new stuff with the driver and long irons. Hoping to get more time at the range/on the course. Tougher these days with two kids (toddler and infant).

Looking forward to the information (DVD) and exchanging ideas with other forum members.

Thanks again for this site.

Great DVD; I especially enjoyed chapter 8; Swing path.
Finally cleared up some doubts/questions on the "inside-out" path for me.

Finally received my copy of the DVD two days ago. The chapters on Driver setup, Swing Path and Ball Flight is really enlightening. I really enjoyed it and although most of the other information has already been ingrained in my mind via SD, NHA, NSA, COAFF and BB this video serves as a one video compilation of all these.

Truly a most recommended investment if you are serious about your game.

OK I finally bit the bullit and bought this (live in Rome - so I'm always put off by international orders from the USA - sometimes I get charged import tax). I'll review when I receive and watch it.

I recommend this dvd to everyone.(especially beginners) Brian and Michael did a really good job. I wish I watched this dvd when I first started the game. Michael also has a really good swing. Thanks so much. Go DT at the US open!

I received the DVD today and just finished watching it. Michael and Brian are sincere guys and do a nice job of reviewing/explaining core golf swing concepts.

I especially enjoy listening to Brian. His comments about swing path & ball flight are great.

Ok, here's my review. If you have been around here for a long time you have probably heard most of the material. BUT, even though you have seen it before you sometimes forget. For instance, my driver has been OFF, for over a month. I've tried this and that and found nothing consistent. Until I saw the section on the driver. There was a little nugget that I've heard before but FORGOT. Went to the range and was bombing it. Kind of like my "weird swing" a month ago but now it's ORTHODOX. There's also stuff on ball flight and path that's really good. My suggestion is BUY IT. I'm gonna make my wife sit down and watch it 10 times in a row as I think it will help her a lot.

I agree that if you have most of the other videos, it's mostly in here, plus a few extras. It's definitely value for money and I am glad to now understand better the D-plane concept. Only one thing left me a little confused, which was when Michael Jacobs was explaining the pivot where it seemed he was swaying over his right leg an awful lot - something that is generally not recommended by most instructors.

Explaination.

When you teach a bunch of slicers over time, and see 10,000 reverse pivots, you kind of get to exaggerate a flat shoulder turn that winds up "behind the ball."

Great idea for a hacker slicer, bad idea for some most good players and hookers.

Got it?

Demonstrations standing up in an erect posture look a lot different and exaggerated from those done in a golfer's posture

Myself I've never had a problem with reverse pivot - I've always been a bit of a swayer to the right - so when I saw it - it kind of grated on me. I understood that I shouldn't copy it exactly like that because I know it's not good to sway, but I wondered whether some people (especially beginners) might get the wrong idea? I prefer those images in the blog entry of the young kid and his pivot where he rotates around his upper spine. I suppose that the idea of a baseball swing, or throwing a ball, is similar to the video where the loading on the right leg is important, but in golf can be damaging. Just my two cents and probably personal to me because I've struggled with swaying which has always been a bugbear for me.

I'm Sold

Went to see John Graham a couple of days ago and have been on the range for several hours since. The results are more than I could ask for. This TGM approach really appeals to me, and while I know I have only scratched the surface, my ball striking has improved at least 15% with only a few hundred balls hit. Just ordered the video and can't wait to begin.
