I know when i get my semi-strong grip really flat i'll snap hook it because i'll hit the ball with too closed of a face, combined with roll equals snappers.
You need to learn to take your grip and check your alignment with the face in a HORIZONTAL plane comparing the face to your wrist and forearm.

Since working on the getting it flat i've lost the hook and eliminated the left side. I can now easily hit a push fade so i have to guard against that. A well struck drive for me now has a gentle draw but i'm not totally flat at the top, getting there though.
