I've read several posts of people saying they can't "hold the twistaway" on the downswing. Well, I was struggling with the same thing, except I hit the occasional snap hook. The key for me and my son has been, to make sure you are hinging the left hand correctly. Remember the left hand just hinges up and down and does not bend (flip).
Try a slight twistaway and don't try to "hold" it, just unhinge the left wrist properly and angle is held on it's own.
