it's better theatre to watch TW dominate versus 8-10 guys with a chance on the back nine...........

you're smoking crack.......

I thought this was the best major tournament I have ever seen.

That's just me though.

I agree.

What was great about this one was Scott, Day and Schwartzel all tried to actually take the Green Jacket instead of the leaderboard collapsing and Tiger cruising to an easy victory. Birdieing the last 4 holes to win the Masters, about as good as it gets.

I'm not sure that that many people argue that Tiger dominating is the most exciting. Hard to say whether this beats the 2000 PGA or 2008 U.S. Open. The fact that Schwartzel only needed an easy two-putt to win at the end takes something out of it.

Tiger could have SO easily shot 32 or 33 on the back. THAT would have made Schwartzel's 18th hole a whole lot more interesting. Hate to say it, but this could be remembered as the Golden Chance at History that Tiger let get away with short misses.

People that smoke crack could care less.

Welcome to Jack's era Tiger, no more gimmies, you have to go out and win them... One of the best Masters I've seen since 1986.

I'll say this... if Tigers short game & putting hadn't fallen apart, he would have taken the lead. Then I think things may have been a bit different... But yea, that was a lot of fun to watch. I was at my in-laws watching, and I'm not sure if they even knew I was there :p

Tiger got the day’s festivities going early, but when you start from behind and play the last 10 holes at Augusta even par – you’re not much of a factor for the jacket. I’ll stick with my theme… he can use whatever swing he likes, but it’s the putter that makes the Tiger. Get used to it Tiger cubs. The magic in the wand doesn’t last forever no matter what color you wear on Sunday.:)

I was pulling for all 3 of the contenders down the stretch, and was really hoping to see a 3 way play-off. Guess I was selfishly pulling to see more golf.

On a technical note… Got to watch the toonament (the back 9’s) in 3D this year. WOW! I cannot recommend that enough – the slopes and contours just pop right off the screen. The super high speed swing slo-mo’s were awesome to see in 3D.

I agree, the Tiger dominating era meant only watching Tiger play golf. Now we actually get to see the other players in the field.

Tiger made it very interesting. I'm glad he is back and I expect him to continue. He will win it next year, MARK IT.

Meh... for an event that doesn't start until the back 9 on Sunday, isn't even par kinda forgetable. (Unles you are a big T-Dub fan):)

However, the summer does look bright. Just remember how much mo get got from last year's T4 finish at Augusta.:)

Come on mgranato, even for non-TW fans, Tiger's performance on the back nine was not forgettable. The fact that he put himself into the mix on the back nine made it edge-of-your-seat stuff. He could have easily made a couple more putts and shot 32 or 33. This will primarily be remembered as the Golden Chance at History that Tiger let get away.

As for the "summer looks bright" comment, we should compare Tiger where he is today to where he was last year. Last year he was floundering, not knowing what direction he wanted to go with his swing. But he avoided three-putts and managed to finish T-4th. This year, he finished T-4th in precisely the opposite fashion. His ballstriking was phenomenal but his putter cratered.

It's true that Tiger might run into more obstacles during the next few months. But Tiger's summer last year should not be used as an indication that that's what's going to happen this year. The two situations are not comparable.

He lost the Master's by less than 4 inches combined, maybe less. He looked very comfortable with his new swing and it will only get better. No golfer excited the crowd more than Tiger this past weekend.

This was an amazing tournament, but the game needs superstars. By that I mean someone who wins more than 1 major. Lee Westwood is not a superstar. Luke Donald is not a superstar. Maybe Schwartzel, Kaymer, Scott or Day become superstars. Time will tell, but If I have to watch one-hit wonders like Beem, Micheel, Hamilton, Curtis and Glover win, then pass the Crack.

If there's any crack left in the pipe, pass it to me when you are done.

Ahhh, the power of positive thinking (with a dash of revisionists history). Let’s play “guess the year”…

He enters Masters Week with a ton of questions about his game.
He spends hours on the range at the tournament working hard with his swing coach.
Numerous outlets report he is hitting it very good leading into Thursday.
He surprises many critics and supporters with a T4 finish.
He shoots 11 under with 17 birdies, 14 bogies, and 4 eagles.
He shoots 10 under with 19 birdies, 11 bogies, and 1 eagle.
After the “near miss” at winning his 5th green jacket, his fans and supporters predict great things in the months ahead.
The term “He’s back!” gets used a lot.

Now, are you telling me that 2010 and 2011 are not nearly identical?

How about a game of “which one of these don’t belong?”….

Holes 10-18:
4 straight closing birdies for the 1st time in Masters history.
4 birdies with no bogies over the final 7 holes consisting of 2 separate runs of consecutive birdies.
5 straight birdies and no bogies.
3 birdies with no bogies.
1 birdie and 1 bogey.

Guess which charge he authored over the closing 9 holes?

Every player in the field just missed on some putts. Is playing the "But if" game really what its come down to?

Come on.:D

Golf needs great/exciting golf. I pull for the kind of balls out great/exciting golf we saw this week. I don't care if it's one guy or 30 different guys holding the trophy at the end.
