alas, in response to edz, my video was a gift from a friend a few years ago so i don't know where you can get a copy nowadays - i thought the video was so excellent that i purchased the book - also excellent - i seem to recall, that in the book knudson elaborates that the head has no function in the golf swing and even illustrates a headless golfer - very powerful imagery - he says there are two pivot points in the golf swing but the head is not one of them and stresses the need for balance throughout the swing - watching the video and seeing knudson demonstrate this connected, balanced, pivot 'and' pivot swing with ALL CLUBS i can see how he might indeed hit supurb shots with his eyes closed - the swing looks so simple - rotate to load 'and' transfer weight to the finishing position to unload - to create this motion it looks like he rotates his body into his right elbow to me - i'd like to know what others think of this observation - like hogan, knudson's wrists have set at the conclusion of the loading motion and then set even more as the weight transfers to his lead foot - i still puzzle over the heels alignment issue -

thanks ragman for the suggestion - ok, so why isn't alignment of the heels a more common instructional tip? - i also wonder what might be the pitfalls of aligning the heels to the target? - are there any? - i've actually gone so far as to use a frame to align my heels - it makes me feel as though i am aligned very right of the target whereas knudson says the shoulders should be slightly open to the target - very confusing - i have noticed, though, that aligning my heels seems to also align my left hip, knee, and foot which makes load and rotate to initiate the bs flow easily - using this method i've struck shots so purely that i've paused and said, "my gawd did i do that"? - taking it to the course when the wind is blowing and playing from uneven lies with a five dollar bet on the line is another matter - maybe more practice will help me learn to trust it - knudson also stresses (book and video) that in setting up for the shot, the ball should be played off the toe of the club face (not the centre of the club) - i'm not sure why - any explanations?
