:)

Thanks for the "reviews."

It is an AUDITION TAPE folks, not a "best instruction video" contest.

I did it EXACTLY like I wanted to.

After they get to the final four, they will have a part of the contest where internet voting will count toward the winner.

I think I'll do OK on the "internet voting" as well.

Great video, you do very well coming across like you do on the lesson tee, which is really difficult. I have taken lessons from others who have made videos, yours are exactly like in person. Well done, great explanation of rotating left arm flying wedge, I really needed that.

Very good video Brian - shows off knowledge, camera skills etc.

One nit:

Right at the one minute mark, you say you'd remove the reward of the high right shoulder move, but then I don't think you get back to that. You show the open face shot which goes right to right and then how you'd fix the face.

So did I miss what the reward was? Was it just not landing balls super right?

Then I think you introduce a penalty for the high right shoulder move combined with a fixed clubface which makes the ball go left to left...but that's not really taking away a reward is it?

Then by 2:12 you are talking about heel pad and other causes of the open clubface.

I guess this is something tgc editors wouldn't catch....

Great job, Best of Luck. It was really the only video that I have listened to intently from beginning to end out of all the contestants.

i AGREE

Because of his natural ability to communicate clear concepts with simple explanations, Brians videos dominate the competition in helping golfers of all levels.

let me tell you what he did right

from sarasota florida

hello to all

i have had a t.v. show here in Sarasota for 22 years promoting kids

i feel i am qualified to critique his video. i am no one special, just want Brian to be the best

1- wearing his color shirt was important (white shuts down camera lens)

2- he used "props" golf club, dowel.....very important must make audience understand visually..(he did)

3- he used camera as a friend, when he showed "pad on top"when xplaining the grip.. he moved to camera.....personalized himself with audience.

4- did he have info overload??? i don't think so....he was following the rules..you can't stay on 1 point after you feel you have explained it.

5- did he come off as "hey he is talking to ME????......i say yes....i felt like no one else was there and he was explaining things directly to me.

ok there are more, but thats enough...NOW.....what would i watch out for???????

1- 110 heat index is not an excuse for wet pants...audience doesn't know HOW they got wet..and doesn't care....be aware when you do pilot.....(probably indoors anyway)

2- altho necessary at times try NEVER to turn your back to audience....can create problems.. if you find you need to walk to something behind you always do it sideways, talking to camera as you walk

3- when you first began i felt you were overly conscious about smiling....smiling is good....but has to look relaxed not forced

4- my last point.....when you do the pilot....make believe there is a small "teddy bear" on top of the camera.....lets call hER.......ummm ok LISA......and you talk directly to her..............here is why

when you can eliminate any outside influences and focus on "one"" person it makes it very personal

and honestly Brian who would you rather focus on???....and lastly always give examples i/e when on youtube you spoke about kinetic chain...you mentioned clemens pitching...ppl relate to things they have seen before

good luck my friend

ohhhhhhhhhhhhh last thing WHEN you make big time...grandfather me in at the 200 dollar rate

I spoke to a guy that helps find the top 100 teachers. He said that people like tips better from someone that looks like an average Joe. Said Pelz was popular for that. Said that students of the top 100 didn't hardly remember any video from their lessons, but mostly remembered metaphors and analogies.

Nailed it.

Brian, I think both of these videos (mini nsa, chicken wing) do a great job of representing your skills as a presenter and a golf teacher. Hope it all works out!

awesome videos brian.

looking forward to some great instruction on TGC.

let us now if/when you need help with the internet voting.

Very cool video Brian, a good introduction to Brian Manzella and his teaching. I found the lesson professional and compelling, while I only felt sorry for most of your competitors while watching their videos. There are some great TV tips there from Howard too, it's always handy to have the advice of someone in the business.
