I was gonna write another thing I thought of....relating to Tiger....his talent, his "training"....etc.

I think when Tiger is playing well.....or is faced with adversity....

He prolly (most of the time) has it in the back of the head that "I'm the best"....that this is another chance to show that off...etc.

It's all about confidence....and that seems to be seeded into him pretty well.....pretty powerful thing....to have on your mind....to occupy your mind with.

It's prolly a better thing to be able to rely on than anything else.

I rarely watch televised golf nowadays, but when I do I'm always dissappointed in the commentary. That goes for just about every sport IMO. Johnny Miller is about the only one who will speak his mind.

Advertizing has corrupted every facet of sports, makes me ill to see hockey rinks plastered in ads, rotating billboards behind home plate, or (insert casino here) .com pasted on some idiots back.

They should televise amateur golf-REAL amateur golf.

How bout Kostis...his swing analysis is just awful...He doesn't like the fact that Tiger's right shoulder is lower than his left on the downswing..wants him to "rotate around his spine more" the move Brian talks about players and teachers doing that can't play.

And how bout this gem "just becuase Tiger is the greatest is no reason to denigrate today's players".....Well why not Petie, because maybe your a golf instructor that doesn't want to make potential customers mad....C'mon get some announcers with no agenda to call the action please.

So he doesn't want his right shoulder lower? If that's the case that makes no sense.

...

...

Man....

See Tiger coulda lost that....

Cink had chances to close it out man.....underclubbed on the last hole.....

I heard Tiger told Stevie to take his bib off...? (then he left it 4 feet short)

That was Tiger's tournament to lose...

That pitch on the 2nd playoff hole was a good one tho....I can't deny that....and played the last hole well. Not Mr. Invincible tho.

Shoulda, coulda, woulda,

You're spot on, every tournament Tiger enters is his to lose.

Who would Mr Invincible be if not Tiger? Phil, Ernie,

I'm not a huge TW fan but relatively speaking (when tied or leading a major in the final round), he IS invicible.

CW

I am a Tiger fan and I ll take it one step further when hes at his best there is nobody who can beat him. Stewart Cink played about as good as he can play if not for a monsoon probably puts that wedge to 3 feet but he still couldnt beat Tiger. When the last time you saw a guy putz around a golf course on saturday and sunday and still win a tournament.

Exactly.........it doesnt happen. He has elevated the game of golf so much its not even funny. The simple fact that people have to discuss the way he marks a ball in an attempt to find a fault in his golf game says it all.

Its way more exciting watching a guy hit shot after shot with the exact amount of spin and hieght he wants then to watch him bogey some holes down the stretch to force a playoff.

Nicklaus and Watson may have been great but Tiger vs everyone else is alot more fun to watch. It doesnt matter if its phil, ernie, vijay or stewart cink he brings the same level of intensity everyday and thats why hes the best.

Did phil, vijay, or ernie even play this weekend? I dont think I saw them hit one shot....

I know I know....("shoulda, coulda, blah blah")

BUT....

There were some good oppourtunities.

Ya for now.

Look what happened to him that stretch of 4 bogies....he didn't know what he was doing. Could happen anytime. Anytime!!!! You'll all see...(all of you)

I'm not gonna deny he's the best.....

Maybe so....but these guys on tour are capable of shooting low 60s and 59s sometimes.....(not when playing against Tiger tho apparently...that's the problem)....

He didn't play as good as he possibly could have played.....if he did he woulda drove it in the right spots....and birdied a playoff hole.

Ohh shush. I was talking about the announcers GAWKING over how he marks his ball. I was calling them idiots. And ya I'm trying to find faults....the guys on tour should do the same (if they want to win)....it would motivate them to get better.

What? Should everyone all be pussies and just fold? "Oh ya....well I guess he is bette than us eh. Darn. Aw gee. I'll just accept that I guess..."

Its way more exciting watching a guy hit shot after shot with the exact amount of spin and hieght he wants then to watch him bogey some holes down the stretch to force a playoff.

Not for me lol....I'm starting to like rooting against him.

Did phil, vijay, or ernie even play this weekend? I dont think I saw them hit one shot....

Ya I don't even know....if they did I guess they stunk it up eh. (nice try btw...but I don't have a soft spot for those guys....only when they're competing against Tiger)

I think Tiger does have a tendency to get his shoulder working quite a bit steeper on the start-down than the TSP. I've thought for sometime his right shoulder shouldn't work quite so steeply down and this would have prevented all his troubles with getting stuck, because Hogan's swing was really flat but didn't seem to get stuck. Seems to me that Hogan's shoulder movement on the way down was not quite as upright. I usually don't agree with Kostis's swing analyses, but this one may not be so bad?

Well if he said flat-out he doesn't like the fact that Tiger's right shoulder is lower than his left in the downswing...

Then that's pretty off the mark.

If he said that flat-out.

I didn't hear what he said so I cannot add anything at this point.

It sounded to me like he wanted Tiger to do the move people do that can't play in the "right shoulder down plane" video, which sounded right coming from PK - pop instructionist.

so did VJ fall apart today and give one away to tiger? First seven holes tiger shoots 6 under and VJ shoots 1 under. I like this win by tiger because he came from behind and shot a great round. Vj played respectible, but then again VH has not been playing up to his own standards lately.

Ya Tiger ripped er up today....made everything....he's rollin along pretty good now.....someone should hire that "Jackass!" guy from Happy Gilmore soon...

...

Interesting discussion at the start of the broadcast tho....about how a lot of people and people on Tour kiss Tiger's arse....and how VJ never does.....they said there's an unspoken respect between them.....VJ won't kiss up....Tiger apparently respects that.
