Cool Brian.
I always thought you were big on RF on-Plane at Address? That was one of the only things I didn't really agree with....(all the time).
I prefer it, but ONLY for the right students. I'd say about 75% of "regular" golfers, but only 25% of "good" players.
Is it just me or did u go through a time where you believed some things you don't (always) believe now...? i.e. Tripod.
I have no problem with a Stationary Head in mid-stance—for some golfers (maybe 10%). I firmly prefer turning around the "base of the neck," and I always have. It works better. Like with our pal, Leo Tong.
I've got an older vid where you talk about "My latest inclination to keep my head very steady.....how there's no way that your head is gonna get exactly back to where it was at Address (vs. Tripod where it stays in same spot)"...etc....
I was talking about a little wedge shot.
....and actually....afterwards you went on to talk about how there's golfers where you NEED to get them to move their heads a bit (cause of reverse pivot)....so that part of it hasn't changed....how you teach I mean.
The big thing people need to understand is, I went and learned all of this "East Coast" stuff, tested the heck out of it on myself and students, and found out....I am way ahead of pack with my stuff. It is good for some, though, no doubt.
Anyhoo...do you have a Stationary Head in your own swing?
I can DO IT, but I can't play dead DOING IT. So...I don't.
You seemed bigger on RFP before too no?.....like how you wanted to switch Mike Finney to it....I'm guessing you didn't switch him?
Mike is NOT a good canidate for it. He needs to do something else (that he normally doesn't do), and when he does, he is really tough.
