I never thought I'd see a slower player than his namesake, Glenn "All" Day. But this guy is the slowest player I've ever seen.

WTF are you thinking about for so long!!!!!!!!!!!

I think, whether he should hit his next shot as hard as he can, or a little bit harder then that.

Furyk can be pretty rough to watch on the greens.

Simpson is still the most painful to watch, for me. A Simpson v. Day matchup might not finish before dark.

I guess that is what bothers me most about slow play. What is there possibly to think about? At the end of the day it is "see ball hit ball"
and the variables to consciously consider are limited.

Amazing......people "talking" about slow play........are sitting at their computers

those doing it are on national television...............

Astounding.......................................You..................are............sitting at YOUR computer................talking about people....................................................talking on the internet......................................................about slow play.....................................what..................................is........your................................................................point..................?

"pretty" rough?? He can be brutal! Pair him up with Mickelson and you get:

1) Furyk steps in to the putt, does his "it-just-looks-like-I'm-about-to-pull-the-trigger" move and then steps out

2) Mickelson steps in to provide his over the ball perspective of the break

3) They can't agree so they bring in Bones to stand over the putt and give his input

4) Repeat step (1)

5) Putt

Jason Day can practially play an entire hole in the same amount of time.

Well whatever adjective you want to use, on the greens Furyk is slower then a Walmart greeter. Although I disagree about Jason Day. I think he'd still be on the tee box rehearsing his little hip clearing move and deciding if he wants to drive it into the trees on the left, or the trees on the right.

Generally speaking, the greater the player you are,the more you can get away with slow play.

Jack Nicklaus was a notoriously slow and meticulous player and he together with Cary Middlecoff virtually pioneered slow play.Nobody ever complained about Jack because Jack was good enough to make the slow play turn into majors. The most annoying thing in golf is to have a player survey a putt for 5 minutes like he knows what he's doing only to miss it by a mile.

Agreed, it was probably a stretch that Day could have played an entire hole. What's with the stutter-step he does when he goes from behind the ball into the shot? I used to think it was indecision on his part but I think he does it on every shot.

Has to be the conditions. Even Baddeley's taking a little longer than usual.

How many re-grips would we see from the old Sergio in this competition/on this course?

Fixed #5 for you.

Reminds me of Sean O'Hair.

Conditions were absolutely brutal.Greens were running at 14 on the stimpmeter and it was blowing a gale.Mickelson said he needed to read the wind as well as the break on putts.

I bet the last thing he is thinking is:-

"What would Kevin Shields do if he was playing this ball?"

There are reasons why he is there and you are here, Kevin.
