It seems to me when teaching athletic motions, you have to be able to describe the intent of the motion with the feels during the motion and maybe an overall feel to whole motion. I think the correct math will help with feels, just like Michael and Brian have shown with the release.

I second that!

I understand better when I can get a "feel" explanation, and I realize feel is a personal thing, so many times it's hard for a person to explain feel, when another individual does not get it the same way.

Trentster, I had a hands on lesson with Brian and got a radically new backswing and he had to tell me to do different things and gave ideas on what I feel like when I do it. At the top I was very laid off, and he said when I do it right I will probably feel very across the line - and I did! And now months later I associate that with "correct." In any case, when I tried to change myself from reading a book or magazine article I could never escape my old muscle patterns and would only make little like 5% tweaks from where I was (though I thought i was doing something radically different), which would of course drift right back to where I was after even 1-2 days or hours of swings. Even after doing a radical backswing where I was probably much different halfway back, my mind thought laid off felt "balanced" for me and just "liked" that. Sheesh....

My bugaboo had been misconceptions and feels which betray me.

Good luck.

Exactly! I can study hundreds of swing videos, get a mental picture, go to range to make the change, see it on video, and it's the SAME

"Feel Is Not Real" for sure!

Even though I want to know how the correct move should feel, I agree with you to be willing to try major changes to get to where you want to be. I know I've been in a rut before and keep pounding it the same (not good) day after day. That's insanity!
