I dont know whats with that phony and, as you put it, contrived follow through. Im not on the inside so I dont know. Did he hit a pop up hook with the driver?

What's more alarming.. the faked follow-through / finish position or his idea of the impact position?

He looks like he is about to fall over!

I haven't tried the left to left weight shift on purpose, my swing just ended up kind of that way on its own--prior to finding this website and Brian. But, I can tell you--and I have pretty damn good hand eye coordination--it is death trying to find any consistency in direction and even just good contact.

Wow. He is going to be worthless for the Ryder Cup. You see the rehersal after the drive? He wants his upper body a foot forward of the ball at impact? The world may very well see the death of SnT if this keeps up.

Looks unathletic and forced. The world "muscled" comes to mind when Tiger poses that finish after the multiple post-shot rehearsals.

Guess all the athletic swingers around here can go get a tour card and use woods as a whipping boy, point is , the athletic swings exist only in your deluded minds or else you would have got on a tour

On Tour like you? Like I said, I would never critique it because I dont try to judge Tour players from my chair because they're out there and im not. Just looks interesting and we'll see how it works out for him.

Would you care to chime in on what you think hes doing and why? Does it look good to you? Help our deluded minds.

More deluded than the thought that a one-size-fits-all-method will salvage everyone's golf game? It really was nice trying to milk the Tiger story for the method fanboys, but when the ugly truth comes out on YouTube all of a sudden noone wants to take ownership. In YOUR deluded mind, the swing would have been fine if he was practicing with tees stuffed under his armpits with dowels sticking out of the ground of the tee box.

Will be interesting to see how this develops.

Pretty sure he will still win swinging like this. I think he would win with me coaching him. He would probably win with a strategically shaved chimpanzee coaching him if he had a sign that said "Looks good Tiger. How's your putting?".

C'mon guys - by all means critique the actual swing that he puts on the ball. But the drill's not the swing, it's a means to an end. You know that.

On the actual driver swing, that looked to me like a lot more lag on the way down than he had with either Harmon or Haney. Not sure how that's going to benefit his driving - but would be curious to hear people's thoughts.

The follow through is a little scary. Too much momentum to tell on the real driver swing, but the practice swings did look very SnT cut off - and it looked like it was creeping into the iron shot for real. I have no idea what that is supposed to do for Tiger - and I've read the book. To me, that follow-through is like a little trophy branding. It says, on live TV, "SnT woz here"

Looks like he's focusing on getting his CoG's moving targetward on the downswing and he was doing a drill to exaggerate that. I wouldn't pay attention to the follow thru, just a result of the 'drill' of him trying to exaggerate what he's doing.

You easily have the most entertaining posts on this site.

I'd like to rescind the first part of this comment. In retrospect it was inappropriate and short sighted for me to judge his practice swing and drill movements.

He still looks like he is about to fall over though!

The issue is his needing to go thru these contortions to fix a game that was once the best of all time. Six years of parallel lines and over-rotating the left arm and club has really got him messed up. These drills may be necessary to get him back, but you would think that he would watch that 2000 golf swing and simply try to get back to it. Maybe that is what Foley is working towards.

Unless he changed his mind (or was playing with the truth) Foley has already said he would not be returning Woods to the 2000 swing.
