It is Dick Harmon who was Glover's coach.

The ram rod straight back deal does look kind of silly to me, especially when I see it in all the young players....the straight back and "keeping your spine angle" are the only 2 fundamentals you need if you ask most 17 year olds...I kind of feel sorry for them.

I absolutely love Cabrera's swing, seems very loose, but he has one of the most powerful pivots out there. Some of the best swings on tour are the ones that appear the most athletic and it seems most of the "top 100" want to take the athleticism out of the golf swing...I guess to make the fortune 500 CEO's and other uber rich, but un-athletic people who are their clients feel better about themselves...I don't know

In all fairness to Sergio, he did just have another top 10 in a major. And I thought his putting showed some promise.

I'd like to see him play well and closer to his ball striking capabilities. He's ranked 163 in putting average on the Tour currently.

Pros typically don't like to talk about lack of confidence in their putting. I'll bet that's a big source of his frustration that he often shows in other ways.

Here's another question for you. How does someone who hits the ball like Angel Cabrera have two majors and nothing else on the PGA Tour (I realize he has several Euro Tour victories)? How can you hit it like he does and win at Oakmont and Augusta and nowhere else? Is he sometimes a bad putter or something? A friend told me about one of Miller's best lines of the US Open, he apparently said on watching Cabrera hit a shot, "what is Spanish for squish"? Cabrera does squish the ball. I thought at times when he was playing with Tiger in the Open made Tiger look a little mechanical. And Cabrera ends up at 15 over or something.

Inconsistent putting has held him back a lot although he has improved greatly in this area in the past 10 years, mentally he isn't always there he has a tendency to make silly mistakes that cost a lot of shots and he plays mostly in europe.

So besides his "eyes" what do you like about his move? The float load is the nuts. Lots of steppin' on the right foot on the backswing, gettin' back on the left on the way down too.

to me the combination of float loading, strong grip, dynamic pivot and the flat right foot to me make it one of my favourite swings on tour.

along with angel cabrera and mickelson
