Hogan had lots of shaft lean

Only in his pre-secret times. Post-secret Hogan had a lot less lean. It was one of the most crucial changes (after stance and grip changes) in his trip to the title of the best balstriker that ever lived.

Cheers

I am sure this boil has been lanced before, but what do you make of the fact that Hogan rated his ball-striking as being superior before the so-called secret? I am not contesting the idea that his swing was mechanically superior after the chance encounter with the bus, just fascinated by Hogan's contention that he hit it his best from 46-48. What gives?

No. You mixed up facts. Hogan rated his pre-accident swing as the best (which of course was post-secret). Proboably because he remembered how he was healthy.
The more astounding are his achievements after accident when he was hitting it like noone before and noone after until now for a 3-5 years.

Some friendly language advice D: the word is none, not noone.

Thanks. I would be glad to be corrected in English and learn all the time.

One question -- I thought the word 'noone' (no-one = nobody) can be used if we are talking about human beings. Am I wrong ?

Cheers

With what you are describing the word is "No One" not none.

Just doing my part

OK, thanks. So basically, my mistake was that I wrote 'noone' together (instead 'no one' how it should be written). 'None' shouldn't be used here, yes ?

Aha...post-secret, but pre-accident...gotcha!

Chamblee just leaked a nugget of truth on the air. As Bubba Watson was chipping/pitching from on the green to go over the bunker Chamblee said "it will be interesting because you have to release the club to use the bounce, if you go into it dragging your hands way ahead of the ball you're gonna take a big divot"

The shot was played with NO divot btw

So Phil using his hinge and hold method does not use any bounce?

He fudges his hinge pin with his elbows to prevent the dreaded front edge chili-dip.

Thats interesting, viable method or just to dang difficult?

I have to use the bounce and definitely have more throw with my pitches....chips though I try more to have the left wrist not break down, more of method a popular teacher out at Grayhawk employs.

The hinge and hold method, the way I understood it, uses the bounce properly.
He doesn't hold on and drag it or the shaft would have a lot of forward lean.
He releases it without the clubhead passing the hands, different style but I wouldn't call it dragging.
