Iron Byron Does NOT Brake to Release....

YES YES YES ------ But not iron byron (machine) constant brake.
Apply the following to the golf swing!

Have a wonderful day!

Iron Byron has a Free Hinge and its Left Arm Is Accelerated to a Preset Velocity....Again Iron Byron does NOT have a Brake and Cannot/Does NOT Brake to Release..... Have a Great Day...:)

The Iron Man...

Hmmmm. I agree with Billy..It doesn't look to me that the arm brakes either...interesting.... Are my eyes playing tricks on me???

I did not say that the arm braked! I said that iron byron has a constant brake.... It's base NEVER MOVES, only it's arm. How does iron Byron relate to a human golfer?

Im not on anyones side here but...What about power golfers and their feet...they move. Turn,slide,torque,roll..check out the long drivers...Im not sayin', Im just sayin'. Where is the Brake?? Studying these swings albeit only briefly has me wondering the answers to these questions...where is the Brake? The hands brake?Wouldn't cause a flip??Im so confused.

Iron Byron is the Essence of the IDEAL Human Golfer...

Iron Byron is the Scientific Mechanical Representation of the IDEAL Human Golf Swing....F=ma is to Physics is What Iron Byron is to the IDEAL Human GolfSwing..... Iron Byron is the Essence of the IDEAL Human Golfer and Is What All Golf Instruction Should Be Based Upon.... Have a Great Day with Your New Found Knowledge.....:)

Where is the brake?

Get into your back swing.
Trigger your downswing by straightening your left knee, while compressing your right side (axis tilt BAM). This is not a sissy move, its a kick, a right bend, and a turn.

This creates a very solid left side, this is your brake. Continue to swing your arms down and out on the plane... 290+ easy;)

Of course there are golfer who don't have this kind of POW pivot... I call them women;) Just kidding!!!

You can basically sit in that position until momentum pulls you around into your finish. I call it sitting into your tilt.

Have fun with your new found knowledge. I fear that you are going to be a tinkerer:) :( :)

I cannot always achieve this move, but when I do...

Nah...not a tinkerer, once I find what works for me consistently...then Ill stick with it, just maintenance from there. Thanks for the description...I like that feeling of the stretching in the left side when I do the impact pose. I haven't felt that or looked like that on film yet....like you said a bow in the right side. Imagining a bow in my body is a good visual..thanks.

The shoulder injury was actually a skiing injury. Early twenties and seen a bunch of guys hitting this jump and doing helicopters, backscratchers ect. I thought I can do that, wrong. I lit on my shoulder from I don't know how high. At the time I had no medical insurance so I didn't go to the doctor, I couldn't lift my arm for 2 weeks. I went a couple of years later because of reoccurring pain and he gave me some exercises to strengthen my rotator cuff, I still have grinding in my left shoulder.

Holy man.

The system isn't perfect of course (long wait times for some surgeries) but being in Canada that kind of stuff is unheard of.

All the best Matt.

I am a crazy OCDer. I get immersed in things and that's it. Boom done.

Jumps are not your pal when you don't know what you're doing and you wanna try and throw down. (or someone dares you and you're dumb enough to do it)

I used to hang around some pretty crazy guys...they did 360s and 20 foot jumps on BMX bikes...30 foot jumps and backflips on GTs! (lol they are on YouTube)...snowboarding (where wiping out is not so soft on groomed hills and packed snow/an ice base)...

I was never nearly as into it as they were but every now and then I'd try to keep up, get in over my head, and land flats over a tabletop without my bike under me.

Bahahaha. (but seriously at the time it is not cool and thank God I wasn't seriously hurt)

One can do some dumb things as a little gaffer eh...

One of my friends overshot a landing on a mountain bike and the crank arm broke off and stuck into his leg. He pulled it out and part of his muscle came out. (gahhhhh)

Do You Realize That You Are Also Trashing Most of Mandrin's Theories With This Post..

The Iron Byron is not a person! C'mon now...

Mandrin bases Much of His Swing Theory on the Double Pendulum Math Model... Iron Byron is a Mechanical Model of the Golf Swing Ie..It is or Can Be Represented by a Double Pendulum Math Model.... Ie... They are Essentially the Same Tool only One is in the Flesh(Iron) and the Other is Differential Equations..... Have a Great Day With Your New Found Knowledge...:)

I really do not think I am.

mandrins stuff is meant to represent human golf swings.

Iron Byron simply does not. He does not have a chain to snap! C'mon Billy.

Iron Byron is not a mechanical model of the human golf swing. It simply is a golf equipment testing machine.

Neither Does Mandrin's Double Pendulum Model....Both are Powered by a Single Hub...
