In diagnosing EXACTLY what happened to me. I started shooting in the 80's(just been playing 3 years) and then fell apart. Irons were all over the place...I got to the place where I just wanted to quit.

That's where I am today. Got to the low 80's and about 2 months ago everything started falling apart. Thanks to Hurricane Ike I haven't hit a golf ball in almost 2 weeks. I'll be busy at work and at home for the next 2 weeks and I'm not sure when the courses around here will reopen. Maybe this month long vacation from golf will bring back a good swing...

"BY TEACHING THEM TO DRAW A STRAIGHT PLANE LINE!!!!!!!"

I don't understand, wouldn't hookers and slicers (almost everyone) benefit from a straight plane line?

Of course.

But I have learned that fixing the PATH first works best. For me, at least.

brian,

If I tried to step my right foot more towards the ball and left in the back and hit balls straight and high, compared to square at setup.

That means I'm swinging underplane right?

I keep reading posts that make references to teachers who teach that "going way out to right field will produce STRAIGHT SHOTS" and that they advocate flat lie angles.

I've never heard of anyone teaching this.

Who is teaching this stuff? Please PM me a name, any name of "name teacher" who teaches this.
