30 degrees open is not really that open at all. If you can't hook/draw it from that position at the top, I suggest you find something else to fix, rather than trying to get it even less open (i.e. more closed). Given your Neutral grip, your left wrist should be pretty arched already.
Ideally, once you have ingrained the twistaway move and the NSA pattern, you should move back to a 70-90 degrees open clubface position at the top.
To shallow out your angle of attack, you should try "swinging under the stick".
