Brian,
First time I have seen TM numbers. Would you mind explaining some?
Might be better off going to the Trackman site and reading a few newsletters. It really helped me to understand the little I know about the numbers.

"In a world where guys who can't break 80 are swing "experts"--
Are you saying that someone that is a 10 handicap has no right teaching golf or not enough knowledge to teach golf or was this directed at someone personal.
I will listen to anybody if I think they can help me.
Good job on the nums.
Questions though, two cuts that fly almost 300 yard at 114? What ball ya playin'? Driver? Was there a tail wind?
These shots must have been hit right on the sweet, but the second ball shouldn't have been to the right.
This is really encouraging if it's possible to get this kind of distance with 114.
What's missing here?
The speed just gives him the potential.
The right numbers gives him the results.
Speed alone does not equal results.
I believe that Brian is saying you don't become an expert just by saying you are one or can use V1 home software.
Plenty of guys that can break 70 that can't teach and aren't experts and probably guys that can't break 85 that can teach and are experts. However, if you don't teach and can't break 80 you shouldn't hold yourself out as an expert or have such a dogmatic conviction of your beliefs until you try them out yourself under pressure and actually play golf.
I know one joker (excuse any pun) that ignores impact information (ex. attack angle, club path, face angle (especially)) and the real reason (I guess) he ignores this information is that he doesn't fully believe in the D plane and/or gear effect upon the face at maximum compression. He can't look at ballflight and then back to Trackman numbers and figure out what happened. No precision whatsoever from him about impact data so he's just guessing what happened at impact or why one move on video works so well for others. So what does he do? Just throws his hands up and disparages impact devices.
Why disparage impact devices when they're so helpful? Hidden agenda?
If you listen to everybody you'll end up being lost. At least listen to teachers who reference their patterns back to impact. Brian does this the best in my opinion, but there are others who do this as well.
I wonder how his girlfriend's head would look like on a stick!Someone said these numbers don't mean anything without video proof...

If you study the 4 players you mentioned in the impactzone, you will notice some distinct similarities to Hogan in terms of the way they released the club, its no coincidence that they hit the ball as well as they did. Furyk is very similar to hogan in terms of the way he released the club. Consistency of ballflight is where you should look when judging a swing
