Predict Tiger's future

Breaks Jack's record and ends up with 21 professional Major Champioships. He wins The Open Championship this year.

Yes - but only once when he had to do it to win. That was the PGA vs. Bob May ... Somebody correct me if I am incorrect .. I am pretty sure that was the only time ..

Just my opinion .. I could be wrong. Only time will tell.

2001 Masters, he shot 68 and won by 2 shots over Duval and Mickelson was close
2006 Open he shot 67 to win by 2 off a fast closing Di marco.
2006 USPGA, tied for the lead after 3 rounds and shot a 68 final round
2007 USPGA he shot 69 to win by 2
He has also broke 70 a number of times where he was chasing a major but did not win. I kinda understand your point but I believe Tiger could raise his game in final rounds if it was necessary as you saw with Bob May in 2000.

if he never hits another shot, he will go down as the best player of his generation and possibly the top 2 or 3 best players ever; with 14 majors and over 100 wins worldwide as a professional, what else does this guy have to do? does winning percentage enter anyones mind here? this is a bump in the road, nothing more, He has more talent at the game than anyone EVER and he doesn't need to do anything else as i see it.

In my Flashforward I saw Tiger Woods under the tutelage of Lee Trevino. Power fades all the way, baby...unstopable. However, his putting suffers greatly.

Looks like Brian believed Tiger's teacher would have him showing immediate improvement. I think the new question is whether Tiger will ever improve under this new teacher. I think most of us agreed with Brian's statement on 5/10/2010 that he would get better quickly under a new teacher. I know I am surprised. I believe Tiger has made only 1 eagle since then.

In his press conference today he was talking about the swing changes

and the scope and difficulties of making those changes. He made reference to the necessary laying in of the myelin (see The Talent Code). Makes me believe he is in for the long haul. Soooo - may not be this week, but I wouldn't bet against him if he is "all in".

Creating myelin is certainly an important step in creating long-term repetition, I just hope he chose the correct "method" to repeat.

He has to make tons of repetitions to get the club in the "positions" that Sean says are correct. I was soooo hoping a reporter would ask Tiger "What makes you think Sean Foley is correct?"

New
>>"What makes you think Sean Foley is correct?"<<

That seems a bit unfair.

How about...what makes you think Foley's pattern is a good pattern for you?

its no coincidence that tiger played well today, he left the driver in the bag for the majority and was the first time in a long time he didnt spend the whole round rehearsing swing positions. maybe foley just told him to forget all about the swing positions for this wk and go out and play on instinct. that is the least contrived i have seen tigers swing look, since starting with foley.

Ruth Chris - Medium Rare please

His neck is fine.

His marriage is over.

Whoever he picks for his new teacher will get rich.

That teacher will help Tiger improve nearly immediately, and Tiger will win a Major this year.

Beyond that.....idunno.

I'm one step closer to a great steak, crab, etc.etc. at Ruth Chris compliments of Brian M - they'll be no Major wins by Tiger this year! (More importantly - with his Smug attitude - I really wouldn't care if he never won another Major). I think Gary Player was alluding to it - when Rich Lerner talked to him on the phone after the Masters was over and Charl had won - He said he didn't care how well anyone played he was just really proud of how all these young guys handled themselves- or something to that affect.

He will do more of this,

then watch out.
