Right Hand coming loose at top of BS

Vardon grip works good for me, but from time to time when I'm tired my right pink comes off the left hand and it's game over.

So i don't really know what to do.

Happens to me too esp. in the rain.

For me a Vardon is inferior.

You are shanking from altering that part of your grip?

Maybe you are getting your right hand more on top.

I have a pretty weak left hand grip. It's weaker than BM's neutral. I still hit it straight. How far in should my pinky go to the left forefinger when i grip it?

Weaker than neutral is pretty weak. You may want to try both wrists vertical jen. But as for pinkies, it's probably best to do what's comfy. Not overly jammed together but not lazyily sloppy (jalopy) either.

Even dead neutral? I am all for whatever works but you must swing too far to the right jh.

BTW Jack and Tiger both interlock you must know eh jen.

can you explain #1 pressuer point?

the number 1 pressure point is the contact of your right thumb fitting over the left thumb. If you maintain that pressure your little finger will stay where it is. If you have any hit in your swing that pressure point is key to driving the club with your right arm thru the ball. Make sure your life line on your right hand covers left thumb exactly and that the club in your right hand grips the club only in the fingers and test it out. If you have a penny between your thumbs it should not come out during the swing.

Make sure you are taking the grip the same everytime and check your grip by raising the club and looking at where it is the fingers of both hands.

P.S. The pressure points in the golf swing from The golf machine I believe is critical to understanding and working on your golf swing. I am suprised or shocked that you have not seen any posts on this site relating to what they are and how they are used.

i have tried to swing left, it's a pull draw. If i follow the yellow brick road, then i would hit the ball fat.
It's weird, when I don't practice I go on the golf course and I hit beautiful shots. When I actually go to the driving range start to messing around all different patterns that's when it messes me up.

I noticed when i'm tired around 15-18 holes, when I do the lagging club take a way I could feel the club running out of my left hand. The butt of the club sort of just pops out from my left heel pad. Usually i start hitting 10-20 yards push when that happens. Am I not gripping hard enough?

If you end up getting to close to the ball and get in a bad posture by bending from your shoulders and not your hips that can happen and usually a shank is in the making. Tired or not you should implement a preshot routine which covers all the basic setups especially grip and posture and maybe a swing thought that gets you a good takeaway that starts club and body properlly. It also helps to take water frequently and a energy bar to keep your stamina up.

If you don't exercise start a program. Golf is a physical game.

Finally be very observant when you see the problem and make some variations and try practice swings with and without changes (grip, posture ,distance from ball) till you can create the problem and then fix it making the change that eliminates the problem.

You can do this as well right in your house by experimenting and what happens when you make some of the variations I mentioned,

I had this problem myself and I found that i did not have grip right and this forced my hands to turn on the takaway and pull my right hand off the club. I tried everything like interlock and other grips including grip pressure but it did not help in fact in made it worse. I then got a pratice grip and memorized every position it put my hands in and I found I could hold the club with very little grip pressure. Improvement in plane, club head speed and a better pivot were dramatic.

The mistake I tended to make was not getting my right fingers in the right hand properly and not having my lifeline properly covering the left thumb.

Good Luck in finding your problem and please let me know if you find the problem.

by the way if you interlock don't go to deep with finger or you will get the club in your right palm which does not work for me or many others.
