It's not as big of a deal for players like these two who just play blades anyway. Been the same forever, just bigger clubfaces these days. The woods, though...hmm...he might be pulling his old 906F2s back out.

I have a hard time believing that anyone over the age of 17 and an IQ higher than 90 would care about this, but I guess there are people that go to Lowes instead of Home Depot because that's what it says on Jimmie Johnson's car.

Apologies, Kevin. Was just trying to needle you a little bit. It was a reference to the fact that you've worshiped Faldo in the past (unjustifiably in my opinion). Honestly didn't mean anything negative by it. I should have written that with a smiley face, though.

Exactly what I was thinking only I would include the putter as well as the woods, and of course the ball itself...

I agree - but it saddens me all the same. Nothing says, "We think you're idiots" like a $200m endorsement deal.

Come on guys, you been living on another planet? Do you honestly think you are immune to the power of advertising and marketing? Just take a look in your fridge, garage, kitchen, living room, garden, wardrobe, and anywhere else you'd care to and you will see we are all victims.

Did you Brits watch the BBC's specials "The Century of the Self" and "The Trap"?
I'd recommend everyone watch these. Yes, it's 7 hours of your time but I can confidently say they will be very well spent.

We have proven how stupid we are as a society, by paying $20-$30 for a hat to advertise the logos for Nike, Titleist, Callaway, etc. We are paying them to advertise their brands. They must be rolling on the floors in their boardrooms. To quote our friend Dariuz "ROFL"
